Firstly, you need to plug in the Amazon Echo into the electrical outlet. Press the power button.

  1. Place the echo dot closer to your wireless router during the installation. Once the setup completes, you can move it to a new location.
  2. Wait for the echo dot to display orange ring light to begin with the setup.
  3. Download and install the latest version of the Alexa app on your mobile device.

If your Alexa device is not responding or experiencing some technical glitch, reset your Alexa device. To do this, unplug the power adapter from the Alexa device and wait for at least a minute. Plug the device back into the power supply and restart it.

  • Press the hold the ‘Action’ button for about 30 seconds.
  • The ring light will turn OFF and then turn ON.
  • Your device enters setup mode.


  • Make sure that you avoid placing the Alexa device in the corners.
  • Avoid other background voices while you give commands to the Alexa device. 
  • You need to ensure that Alexa is getting a fast internet connection and also try to place it near your router. 
  • If there’s a red light blinking on your Alexa device, it means it has been muted and that’s why it is not re 9sponding to your voice commands. Press the mute button to unmute your Alexa.
